The Nesladim collective was founded in 2019 and is based on a group of independent artists from Prague and Paris. The collective operates as an open structure and dramaturgically focuses on destigmatizing themes related to mental health through theatre, performance and other artistic genres.
We believe that there is a need to foster discussion in society and to highlight personal, often intimate topics that people are not used to communicating about, but should be.
Kolektiv Nesladim is the only theatre group in the Czech Republic whose dramaturgy has long been concerned with destigmatizing themes related to mental health. It responds to current topics of the individual in society, with an emphasis on the inner world and subjective perception, dealing with individual topics from the field of psychoanalysis or cognitive psychology, such as the relationship to the moral order, conscience, etc. We want to draw attention to minority social groups and address their issues and needs in depth.
The very name of the collective encapsulates the directness and openness with which we approach the topic (we won't "sugarcoat" it), as well as encouraging the natural diversity of social groups.
The core members of the collective are director Linda Dušková, producer Lucie Špačková, PR manager Pavla Chlebounová, dramaturge Sodja Lotker and playwright/dramaturg David Košt'ák. We also work closely with French artists (set designer Lara Hirzel, audiovisual artist Lucas Lelièvre), composer Matěj Šenkyřík and an ever-expanding collective of actors and actresses.
